It is not a skinnier tire. The 285 is a wider, by 20mm, tire than the 265. The 285/35 is a closer match to the stock tire diameter than a 285/40 would be. The 5% difference in sidewall would have a negligible affect on launches. It could techinically be better in the corners because there is less sidewall to flex, but again, probably negligible.

What kind of MPG does your lead foot in that car give you? (I'm hoping this will snap me out of the spell your car has cast)

Those Hemicuda stripes are reverse hockey stripes. Here are the normal ones, as seen on a Mach 1.

V8 with a blower. i imagine its not that good.

its not too bad if you stay out of boost....

but...

get boost happy and its kinda like....remember those old movies where the plane's about to crash and the pilot yells out to dump the fuel.....


but its nice knowing the power's there...that if just about anything so much as looks at you wrong you can tear them a new one without even trying its great to pull up to a stock porsche, vette, 350z, etc and just kinda chuckle while thinking to yourself "dont even try it buddy. you have NO idea what youre in for"

its definitely NOT a vehicle for anyone who's living on a tight budget. tires, gas, insurance... but i LOVE driving it. the top is down 24-7, even at night. im actually suprised at how many looks and compliments i get in this thing. i figured most people would just look at it and think its "just a mustang" but i guess they look different enough..

as Ferris Bueller said about the ferrari, "if you have the means, i highly recommend you pick one up"


i cant imagine it being too much worse than when you get on it with a turbo 3L. my friend who bought my 3L is complaining about its mpg
