4 bedrooms, 2 full bath, 1 half, and basement preped for another full bath. Also a seprate den. LR, DR, FR, and MB all have vaulted ceilings. The inside has low-mid grade cabinets/counters/fixtures and appliances, but those are easier/cheaper to upgrade later than the vaulted ceilings, floorpan, and lot/landscaping.

We left some furniture @ the old house for staging, so the LR is empty as is one bedroom. The formal DR is now my daughter's play area. The "filled up" rooms need more furniture because the rooms are so much larger than the old house. I know, tough problem to have.

I haven't talked with the owners of the burned house yet, but the previous owners of our house said that owner tried to install his own whole house AC and screwed up the electrical. Well water in the area means no hydrants and fire truck has to bring all the water. Lesson learned, be careful with fire @ the new house.

Snow picture taken Feb 22. Others taken March 18 & 28. I don't have any pictures from the front porch, but I'm expecting it be an awesome view of the trees come fall since we're on the top of a hill. The grass is green now. We have a sprinkler system for about 1/3 of the lot up by the house.

I have one 11 month old daughter so far and would like 1 or 2 more kids besides myself. My sister in law also lives with us to watch my daughter during the day while my wife & I work. I had to sacrifice my automobile toys temporarily (Lexus went bye-bye) as I'm commuting in a minivan.

We asked for the hot tub the previous owners had and got it so practicing to fill up the house should be even more fun!

Thanks, all, for the compliments!

Congrats Aaron.

Just out of curiosity, where is it? I see big property and newer construction (for metro Detroit / SEMI). Plus you mentioned the commuting.

it was snowing on my way to working this morning. Typical, opening of fishing weekend weather for MN. But I might ask, what do you need 3000 square feet of house for? I grew up in a house with only like 1600 s/f. But then again I did have 160 acres to play around in. I just can't see ever owning a house that big though....cost of heating out KILL me during the winter months. It is nice though.

My house is 2000 finished square feet.
Don't technically need it all, won't ever have kids, but damn does it feel good to spread out.
If you can do it, I say "why not"
