Okay, so it appears that only Mapoftazi (Pete) actually went and "put him in his place" but from what I read of these quotes I got the impression that more had, especially in such a demeaning tone which I assume Pete wrote (again, sent e-mails were not posted to the board). He made it quite clear in both replies that if you're not interested in buying he doesn't want to talk .. why even bother with the second e-mail? It's a waste of time on your part to try and talk sense to him and also can be regarded as flamebait since it's now very unsolicited.
I don't see mileage being purposely misrepresented, FWIW. The auction matches with the Carfax given mileage, and it is possible the owner did not know of the gauge swap (though I very highly doubt Hector never told him!). It's possible he just plain forgot about that bit since he obviously doesn't care about the car. I don't see the mileage having ever been brought up in any e-mail sent to him by anybody. (Granted it's also possible he's just a scumbag who is knowingly selling with lower mileage.)
I do find it interesting that Hector signed his title dated 10/05 but the Carfax didn't register a new title change until 3/06 .. that "could" support his argument (though is also very sketchy and doubtful). Thanks ESC for the Carfax!

Offered him 2200 for it.....didn't sell for 2225 here's his reply. I want this car for several reasons.....i just hope i get a chance at it. Unfortunatly 2200 is all i can really throw at it right now....

We've driven it for about 7 -8 months and never had any trouble with it, it even passed IL emmisions testing.
Also, please don't start telling me that I don't know anything about cars like some other guys have tried to. I admit I don't know much about the sport compacts, but I've built alot of very fast cars in the last 25 yrs or so, my current one being a Mustang I race in NMRA DR that runs low eights in the 1/4 at almost 170 mph.
That said, we'll see how the aucton goes, but I'd think I'd get more than $2200.00 if I part it out.
