That's a mistake/misprint, I meant to say 1 year, which if you include who we got it from ( which is sort of family, I guess ) that's about how long it's been with us. I think it will be July actually.
As far as I've been told this car has been horse-traded back and forth locally a few times, but not for cash, if the original guy that put it together let it go that cheap, he lost his a$$.
I really don't know ( or care to know )anything about the sport compact scene, but I think you're $2000 offer is a joke since box stock Contours are going for more than that. I've been racing cars or something for over 25 years so believe me - I know you never get out what you put in, but we won't give it away. Our buy it now is less than half of the total investment if you were going to put this car together.
If you want to make a serious offer, let me know.

No offense, but I was there for the building of tht car. I know better than anyone what went into her. If you check out ChicagoCEG.com you'll see that Hector and I are very close friends, if you look at the thread over at http://www.contour.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=picsvids&Number=1237092&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=2&fpart=&vc=1 you will see how that car was an inspiration to alot of non-believers. My offer to you for the car was serious, not a joke, I only want it for sentimental reasons, Not because a car that runs 16.9 in the quarter gets my juices flowing.
