Where did you hear that? I have a 96 and the bottoms of my doors are begginning to rust... although 10 years old now...
My body shop confirmed that the newer doors do not have sealant at the bottom. They were absolutely astounded as how cheap Ford must have been not to seal the bottoms of the doors.
