I went through several alignments with the explanation that the toe was the cause of the wear problem. Chasing the toe setting never resolved the problem. It didn't go away until I installed the camber kits and reduced the negative camber.

Just my experience with this issue.

alright, got a good look at my springs. they look fine. but probly all my struts look like they need replaced. would this cause the cars camber to wack out? tire pressure:normal. for the tires. the thing i dont get is that the rears are much worse then the fronts in the front, theires maybe a 10to5% diff in tread wear. in the back, its down to the tread bar on the inside of the tire whilst the reast of the tire has 60% tread left. thats not good!

so i ask, how much more is a koni kit then OEM parts, and how much is a camber kit. also, where can i buy them for cheapest. other then ebay.

Blown struts will not alter the camber. The struts do not support the car, the springs do. The struts, as any shock, dampens the action of the springs so that don't keep bouncing.

Blown struts can cause tire wear, but usually it is a chopped or cupped wear pattern. Before this is likely to happen, the struts would be so bad that you would already know it because of how bouncy the car handled.

You need to inspect the suspension for worn parts, especially the lower control arm bushings. If all is OK with the suspension, then you need some alignment readings to determine if an alignment will solve your problem of if you need a camber kit to get the alignment to come into readings that will alieviate your tire wear problem.

alright, cool. thanks. it'll take a week or two to fix this, but i was looking at it real close yesterday, and my dad and i was thinking an alignment should solve it. I'll check real close again, at the bushings this time, and report back hopefully. thanks again for all the help

alright, so a close look show nothing is damaged or excessively worn. But an alignment will wait for when i get new tires, because the tires on it now are basically shot and an alignment wouldn't help them for very long. But on the next set of tires, I'm definetly getting an alignment. unless anyone thinks waiting for it might damage something more? I doubt it though, it's been out of alignment for the last two sets of tires.
