You should probably stay away from absolutes like saying "everyone knows it". Many do not agree with what you have said at all! Many know that Israel occupied that land hundreds of years ago and it has been slowly taken away from them. The point of wether it would happen today or not is moot because it IS their land now. They've even taken steps to appease the Palestinians by giving up some of THEIR land. Though I dont agree with that decision.
