Not exactly. Way back when about 5 years ago when I still played lots of video games I always used my favorite music artist as my character name or screen name. Mystikal just stuck and I have been using it ever since. Seeing how i didn't want to be viewed as a black rapper I changed it to MystiCali because, well, I live in California.
