today i got my house phone bill and it was mighty high. i noticed that i was charged $20 a minute for a call to a 900 number. wich is odd because i dont even have a phone on my line just my computer and use a cell for all my calls. so i called up sprint to see what was up and they told me the bill was sent by a third party company saying they had authorization to charge it to my phone account. the third party billing company's number was there so i called them up. it was atlantic mmanagement. so i called them to find out what i was being billed for and they todl me that another company bille dme through them and that i authorized the charge and they just collect the bill. so i asked them who was the company making the charge and they said they couldnt tell me due to privacey reasons. all they said was that it was authorized online on a certain day and time. so i told them i never authorized it and that if they cant even tell me what the charge is for and who its from than you better cancel it out. so they said that they would take care of it and that it would take 2 billing cycles. i belive it was caused by spareware or virus that got onto my pc in wich i had to erase my harddrive to get rid of it and reinstall windows and everything else. whoever is running this scam needs to be locked up. who could i report this scam too?
