I've had the SVT exhaust with the center resonator replaced with a Magnaflow 5x8. Quiet, deep, comes to life very nicely when your foot is planted - but not quite enough to interest the local constabulary. Soon will be putting that same setup on the V-6 Mystique and a similar setup on the 4 banger 'Tour. Liked it so much I'm doin' two more!
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

Trubendz Resonated Magnaflow, or get a shop to custom bend you something(essentially what Trubendz does)

Build your own..... I've done two exhaust systems to date...one cost me $135(single 2.5" for the SE, and the other $280(single 2.5 to dual 2" for the SVT).

I agree, having an exhaust made how you want it is best and often cheapest. For my zetec it was $80 + $70 muffler. For my escort, it was header + $50.
My svt already has dynomax mufflers, but I'll probably end up changing things around, once again having an exhaust shop do the work.

right now im running an svt exhuast w/ a magnaflow res and straight pipes in place of the mufflers, a small amount of rasp when started up, but sounds really good for the 60$ i spent on it total,
i have a quick question though (sorry to highjack) anyone know if it would have sounded better with a straight pipe on the res and magnaflow mufflers?

Consensus is .... No. Lots of rasp is commonly the result, and I would expect wicked drone on the highway.

if you really just wanna go cheap, chop off the old muffler and replace it with straight pipe or a cheap can of some sort.
