I have an o2 (bank2 downstream) sensor that I just cannot remove...it is so baked to the exhaust pipe that no matter what I do it won't budge. I'm using a generic O2 removal socket, even applied some penetrating thread lubricant it still won't move. I'm at the point where I'm damaging the O2 sensor's "bolt". What's the magic tool to use here?
I appreciate any help.

Drive the car until it is all warmed up. It is usually easier to remove when the precat is real hot (same concept with spark plugs). You may have to drive it at highway speeds for a 15 minutes or so. And use the O2 removal tool.

When I changed my O2's I ended up smashing off the part with the wires coming out and then using a normal socket with a breaker bar.

Great idea, I'll try it tomorrow.
