when i first relocated my battery, i used one of those plastic battery boxes with tie downs from jegs.com...somehow i screwed it up though (cheap hardware anyway) and the battery was basically just sliding around freely in the trunk.
I fixed that by getting a billet aluminum piece from a company called aerospace components (i think) and an optima red top. It's firm enough i can yank on it with all my weight. Looks nice too.
