Yea, but its not a hard drop... its a lot of clutch action... thats where the 60' time really is made or broken with this car. You need decent RPMs to stay in the power, and you gotta work the clutch and gas to keep it singing, but not spinning/hopping. It not really easy to see in the video, but there was some hopping on that last launch, and on the 1-2 shift. Blown diff, here I come!

Fixed!

Like I said, clutch action, not clutch dropping. Theres a big difference there.

You better get Terrys number ready

Rule #14: Posting pictures or videos of any tach/speedometer at highly illegal speeds is not allowed. That is way too dangerous and just encourages similar behavior. It does not matter if it was taken at a track or any other place where such speeds are "safe", there is no way to tell that it was not taken elsewhere. Similarly, posting about your high-speed escapades on public roads is forbidden.

The car does sound good though.

Camera work was not done by me, the driver. How could you safely steer and shift, and still operate a camera. Speeds weren't illegal, let alone highly illegal. It was a bust from a dead stop to the speed limit. I was aware of the forum rules before posting, I really thought this would be ok. If its not, grab a mod, and lets get it locked.

On the first run that looked like a lot more than the speed limit would be on a back road such as that. Just my .02

It's 55 through that whole road. All I did was get into third for a second and then lay out. Like I said, if its a problem, grab a mod, and get it locked. Rules are rules, and if they think its in violation then by all means close it up.

Alright, enough about ripping on the guy about speed limits. I'm sure he knows what's safe and he didn't break the speed limit.

Frankly, the banner of CEG has two SVTs driving side by side on a two laner, so ..

Josh (pole120) is finding that the roll resistors aren't taking up all the slack on his SVT. The working theory right now is that the engine alignment is way off. When we were at the drag strip we were seeing a lot of wheel hop, but it was also fairly cold out and his traction was crap. I'd discuss it with him, but I'd still get the resistors anyway.

To be fair, I've locked threads like this in the past, so this one has to get it as well. If you want to discuss the roll resistors or the differential, please do continue in Duratec Performance and Transaxle.
