Close....but not quite yet.

LOL! He's getting there, but he hasn't spent $9000 on a waterpump and other regular maintenance items yet.

Exactly! This man is frustrated. Give him a break!

If he had two contiques in perfect working condition, he will never call quits. Yes they can be fixed, but it takes time/effort/and most importantly, money. I can totally understand his frustration even though I am not in his situation. (knock on wood).

Give him more encouragement you guys!

To vent frustrations is acceptable, but these posts are full of coulda, woulda, shoulda's. "My crazy plans" "I think I am quitting", etc...

Rewording the posts would be beneficial .. as well as perhaps actually going and doing things before talking about thinking of doing them.

As for pouring money into a Contour and getting little out of it (besides a big grin on my face when driving ) .. I've been there, done that. Only instead of complaining and saying I "think" I'm going to get rid of it, I actually went out and did.

Just to say nothing was said about quiting on the whole 5.0 swap. I said it in regards to my other daily drivers which also happen to be a Tour and Stique. I will admit I think I made a mistake buying the mercury, but my Contour is the one that has all the money into it and needs a motor as well as the mercury and I am about to rip my hair out of my head. Nothing seems to be going right for me at this point in my life. Thats all.
