Just replaced my condensor/dryer/orifice and recharged the system. It blows super cold now. The a/c tech expected the system to cycle during idle in about 80 deg F ambient temps. It was not cycling. Clutch stayed engaged. For good measure I replaced both the A/C cycle switch (low side) and the cut-out switch (high side) but still no cycling during idle.
Anybody know if the system should have been cycling at this point? (I think there is a table in the service manual, but I don't have mine with me). What factors go into a/c cut-out? I thought it was just high side A/C system pressure.
The clutch engages/disengages when operated by the switch. I am a bit reluctant to run the system more to see if cycling occurs as I don't want to overpressurize the system and but undue stress on the compressor.
Anybody know what voltage I should see on the cut-out switch harness pins?
