HOUSTON -- A Continental Express jet with apparent gear problems is circling Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport in an effort to land.

Live T-V reports showed the plane flying low, as controllers apparently tried to check the status of the main gear.

The left gear appears to be damaged, possibly missing some tires.

The plane is a twin-engine regional jet.

Media reports indicate the plane had taken off from Houston, bound for Minneapolis.
