It's not that they're working jobs that Americans don't want to do. A lot of them low ball, taking jobs away from those willing to do it.
Again, I'll speak from experience. My buddy owned his own landscaping company. Slowly, he started to lose business because he was being undercut by other companies that employed illegals. Eventually, he had to let it go. Same goes for my father-in-law who owns his own construction company. He tells me how it's hard for him to go up in price to adjust for the rise in cost of supplies because he's being undercut by illegals that will lower their own price to get the job.
He was born here, so he's American. Yet, many would still call him Mexican. One of my best friends was born in Mexico (while his parents were vacationing there ) and had to get his citizenship here. Ask him and he'll proudly tell you he's American and not Mexican.
