My point was that Fox wasn't fond of committing political suicide by alienating his voters through any sort of indirect support of measures that would keep American dollars from getting into their pockets.
You point is entirely valid, though; Mexicans get rather "fast and loose" with the way they dog other cultures outside of their own in Central and South America; Costa Rica, for all the wonderful attributes it has, is pretty much the same in that they paste any sort of crime on immigrant Nicaraguans, Panamanians and Hondurans and look down on most anyone that isn't European, American or Tico...
Lots of hypocracy everywhere you look.
