Actually, from a standing start, probably not.
Car and Driver (I think it was them, I get so many car rags thesedays) just did an issue comparing the fastest cars from varying tuners. For [censored] and giggles they ran a Hennessey Viper against an F/A-18 on an afterburner launch. The Viper won, running a low-11 (street tires).
And the plane in the auction in question was a Mig-21. a "Fishbed" IIRC.
