I know my neighbors wouldn't be down with it though....

Only if the instruments aren't Russkiy!

A MiG? With that money, I would've gone straight to a corporate jet. It would probably be more efficient. Not to mention that you'd also have a place to take a dump in the sky.

MiGs are tough suckers to fly. Very high approach speeds. 200 miles per hour PLUS for landing. NOT FOR ME!

Is my car for sale? PM me if you're in South FL.

A corporate jet? WIth $25,000?

Did you want a jet with that or maybe a little model of one? $25K would buy you like a 50 year old wrecked Piper Cub or something.

It was for only $25,000?!

I clicked the link as soon as I saw it, and it came as invalid item.

You can't even get a light sport aircraft (i.e. ultralight) for that. 25 grand for a warbird, moreso a foreign one? That's a steal. Damn, if only I beat him to the punch...

Woulda restored that sucker.

Bit under $25K actually.

And while the hours were pretty low (850-ish on the engines, 2200-ish on the airframe IIRC) it hadn't been flown in over 10 years. Ad said it only needed a "100-hour type" inspection. But that baby needed a LOT more love than that.

10 years isn't too bad. It needed some work, but I bet it needs less than $25k to get it flying good enough to get a ferry permit for it.

Fuel system cleaning & overhaul is gonna cost as much as the plane.
