If you can hit the target with a full clip you just might be able to save yourself. What the excercises do is simulate shooting under stress. Also remember the kill shot is normaly the first shot not the last shot.

yeah... they have this thing... it's called the idpa, and that's exactly the circumstances they compete under.

is carrying for everyone? of course not. but don't be a fool and think that only cops or ex-military are capable of using a handgun in a self-defense scenario.

spend as much time at the range as you can, get some training, and above all, ALWAYS use hearing protection... no matter what some idiot on the net says!!!

Are you going to have hearing protection on when the ish hits the fan?

I can see MYRacer now: Bad guy comes in, MXRacer says"Hold on dude, would you be so kind as to wait till I put my ear muffs on. I need to protect my hearing. Oh and by the way you should have a pair on to. Ok I'm ready, wait wait I need my nifty kino Yellow shooter glasses I have to be careful of blowback Ok I'm ready now" You just might get lucky that you can run away while the guy is laughing his a** off, or maybe he watched more movies than you did and is trying to shot the gun up side down.

Let me make this simple for the simple people out there, Normaly at the range you wear muffs and plugs, it is just for the excersize that you do not, when your life is on the line you will not have them on. You need to know what to exspect in the real world when you pull the trigger. The noise can stune you, very likly with a big gun in a little room.
