Very good point. You also must come to the realization that a gun is not to scare someone. A gun is used to kill. Even if, or maybe especially if, you have a CCW(permit to carry a concealed weapon), if you pull your gun out to scare someone, you can get charged for brandishing a weapon. Not fun. You only pull your gun out to kill, and nothing else. Besides, if you don't kill the person you shoot, they can sue you in civil court and the person suing is the primary witness. They might not win, but you'll have a ton of legal fees. If you shoot to kill, no witness, no case.
