Yeah, I'm positive it was a Hidden Hitch brand. The black cover for it had the logo right on it and on the hitch itself if you looked under the bumper.

Any more details than that, I do not know since it was on the car when I got it and it's gone now.

The hitch itself does not need to be modified, it connects the same exact way as any other model Contour. The only mod you would need is a tiny notch in the bottom of the bumper. Do it yourself in about 30 mins.

ok so ur positive that a hitch setup from a 98 contour se would work on a 98 svt contour just i'd need to remove the grill and notch the bumper alittle... honestly my bumper sags alittle so maybe i wouldnt need to lol... i think i may give this a try... how do u connect it to the car??? just like 4 big bolts up under or what??? is there predrilled holes which i doubt...

I'm like 99% sure it will work the same on a SVT. IIRC there are holes already there for a hitch setup. Double check if you want.

I saw an SVT Contour with a hitch before... I was like wtf? It doesn't look right to me and I couldn't figure out why anyone would do such a thing.

But, to each his own I guess...
