That's exactly what I said when I saw it last night, especially the rear is better, just looks so much better than what's out now, and it's a TT.

Agreed. While I don't care for the current design, even the subtle changes in headlights and grille make it fit together as it should. I actually like those taillights better than what was on the previous gen 3-series (currently my favorite gen.) as well.

It's a shame that it appears you will only be able to get the TT engine in the coupe.

Meh... i like the looks of the current generation better. The current M3 is the best looking coupe in existance in my opinion (excluding supercars)

70 hp actually sounds about right if they are using the popular with the manufacturers, but not so much with the aftermarket twin-scroll design. Remember the old Supras? the TT versions weren't that huge of an upgrade and the tuners hated them with a passion, usually replacing the TT with one BIG single turbo...

FWIW, each turbo in the 335I (the name, by the way) is designated to provide boost to 3 cylinders, rather than have a small/large setup like the old Supras had. The reason for which, btw, was to eliminate lag while the bigger turbo was spooling. /tangent
Think of the I6 as two banks of 3 cylinders (kinda like a v6), then dedicate a turbo to each of the two banks. Granted, the turbos only provide a 70hp kick, but that's about a 15% gain in hp output for each turbo...not half bad...and there will be TONS of aftermarket. Oh...and with the 335i, there's NO lag. Take it from a 1.8t owner, Audi is going to have an extremely difficult time selling the 200hp FSI turbo a4's to all their turbo nuts with a boosted beemer in town.
Turbocharged trolling around here somewhere.

Boosting half the engine independent of the other half seems like a bad accident waiting to happen to me.

But BMW has a ton of experience with twin engine-management systems. I'm pretty positive that their V-12 is run practically as two I-6s, and I think the M5's V-10 has each bank managed more or less independently, but in sync.
