You'll catch a lot of flak on here for wearing the whites out, but don't pay them any attention. Here's my old Merc.

Hey guy, lol thank you J.T. I think its a Texas thing i see your from New Braunfels. Its very common over here . Plus i like the take on the old 60's 70's wheel look. You know the mag wheel and white lettering you would find on the muscle cars .Wheels are next for me with some Good Year GT'S white lettering. Like your car, we need to stick to together and flaunt our Bf Goodrich Radials. lol. I had no choice , not many out there to choose from.Decent tires. The rating i think on them were 8.2 for dry traction, 7.7 steering response and 7.5 for cornering stability. Over all average was like 8.7.Not the best wet driving tire though. Nice color i havent seen a light gray before or is that an off white? Wish i could see a side view of your car. Like the look. Great minds think a like....

Ask and ye shall recieve! however, I don't drive mine anymore. Had a ...uh...transmission failure and I sold it the Garland Transmission. Apparantly it has already been fixed and is on the road again, so keep an eye out. Here are some pics of it.

( PacificTourG..Where in Texas are you located Jacki? )
Im here about an hour and 45 or so from you. Over in the Golden Triangle area. Nederland, Orange ,Beaumont , groves.Saw your car. I have to say your wheels are similar to the one's i want. Love the rivet look around the edge of the wheel. The wheels im looking to buy, have the lugs incased under a flushed cap. Almost identcal to yours. ..all your needing are the raised white lettering tires. < had to grin twice. love your spoiler...........
One last thing i was asked if my Merc was an automatic.. yeah it is. I had a manual before the toreador. A black Mystigue, stick. I had it maybe 4 months when i was hit and knocked right into 3 metal sign posts. Plus a tall wooden eletrical pole.Chopped them clean down. Car was totaled. I have pics. Maybe i'll scan them one day and load them on here. This was back in the day before digital cameras were actually available without spending a arm or leg for one.....The woman ran a yellow light that turned red on her. Flying in a red Alero. My brother saw her coming yelled.Corner of my eye caught her... thinking of my brother i tried to turn the car right to soften the side collision. Had just enough time to keep my brother( passenger side) from getting the brunt of her front end. Pushed us right into oncoming traffic. Cut right thru, hitting the posts. Ever seen metal sign's and post do a cartwheel heading straight for you? Almost sliced right thru the windshield.Top edge of roof lessened the force another inch and i would'nt have been so lucky.I still cant believe all 4 flew like toothpicks. I came out of my seatbelt landed on the front dash. Airbags saved us both. Brothers right knee and shoulder still give him problems from time to time. I had three concussions......well when i went back to get another black Merc all they had was white. I forget the other color and the toreador. All were automatic.....the only manuals available were in other states, which were 3 all about 500 miles away. Being it was last year for the make and model ,i walked out with my Toreador. No way was i about to pay B.S enormous destination fee's. Especially when they knew my heart was set on a manual. ....well for those of you who took your time to read my posts thank you. .......only way to go is a stick.
