Being somewhat practical, I also lean towards the ZO6 because not only can you drive the hell out of it, but you can pack some bags and go out of town w/o a worry, something you can't do in the Ford GT. I understand that some people like the exotic nature of the GT and that can't be denied when compared to the ZO6, but the bottom line is this, the Ford GT is a "tribute car" and the Corvette has been made since 1953, although there were some dark days (most of the 70's), but its stood the test of time and to reiderate, is the Ford GT worth $100K more than the ZO6, come on now
I like the new vette. I don't like the wierd seating position. I felt awkward when i drove one.
I like looking at them. they are fast and handle great. The price is good. But, compared to the vette's pricing, i would take the new mustang shellby. Now comparing to the new z06 which is coming out now at around 78-80k i would opt for a "ford gt".
Anybody who has that much money to spend should buy both lol..
You know which car felt like it was made for me? The '04 Viper. For some reason the pedals were in the exact place I wanted them to be, the shifter was the perfect distance for my long ass right arm, and the seat was heavenly for my back. I can't say the same of the C5s I get to ride around in all the time. Plus there was a perfect amount of head room. I back the Corvette up all the way to the bank, but the Viper is the car I really want. Sure it's slower and doesn't handle as well as it should, and at WOT it sounds like a cat howling, but there is just something about it that gets me. I'd take one over either the GT or the Z06. But, alas, that was only a short test drive at my uncle's old dealership...If I had the money to buy it *dreams*....
