and i got the little whistle too, but with the stock intake. i removed some little plastic thing in the airbox, and then it sounds like i got a little turbo running around in there.

The "whistle" is probably nothing more then the air being sucked into the filter.

And it would be worse once secardaries open because of increased air flow.

Except mine and toaster's whistle at lower rpm.

So lesson is, it makes noise whenever it wants.

I had a little air leak so it whines a little less, but nevertheless it still whines.

You get used to it... i kinda like it too

Mine does it also...pretty much all open filters will. Like everyone said most like the sound...yes it kind of sounds like a turbo. Personally I love the sound

my other car has this one on it...
