Each time you apply for a card your credit score is checked, and it goes down a little bit.
They are/were giving 5 dollar gift certs at kroger for filling out an app for a master card. I watched this woman come in 4 different days and apply each time (I only assume she used her real name because she didnt appear to be too bright)who knows that other stores she went to in addition.
