You dont like the trailer or think it's B.S. after you watch it, thats fine (I humbly ask you give details as to why). But please dont post with messages to the tune of " Not interested in even looking at it". If the title alone strikes that much of a predetermined bias as to where you wont even look at it, it's probably better you dont.

Lets define Fascism

Fascism:

1. A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.
2. Oppressive, dictatorial control.

Plutocracy:

1. Government by the wealthy.
2. A wealthy class that controls a government.
3. A government or state in which the wealthy rule.

Id love to hear a good argument of how these two words do not accurately describe our government and political system.

Decepticon: You mention Michael Moore. He is an un-apologetic far left Liberal whos antics in making a point at times goes a bit far earning him the title of a kook to some. That's no secret. While it's easy to dismiss him, not sharing his political views, his last movie Farenheight 9/11 was a documentary based on hard facts. True, It has his political sentiment as a backdrop but that does not change the fact that everything he brought up in Farenheight 9/11 is based is fact.

Almost every objection and ill favored comment I've personally read or heard of Farenheight 9/11 has had to do with Michael Moore the person... not the content of the movie itself. People who scoff him seem content to mock him based on his appearance and or political alignment. I have yet to hear a single strong argument in objection to any part of the movie itself.

Ok, how about a Democratic semi-Plutocracy with socialist overtones?

If you've read ANYTHING on how Mussolini and Hilter danced with Fascism (Ok, racial Fascism if we are talking about the Nazis) and how Franco damn-well near perfected the use of it in Spain, you'd know that the label is poorly-applied to the US.

True Fascism is "might makes right" among most all levels of society and government in order to prop up some wacky belief that all must be sacrified for the continuing strength and ascention of the government in question; it takes utilitarianism to a whole new level in politics, to say the least. The interesting thing is that in terms of effect on a population, it's like extreme socialism (i.e., communism) as quite the same oppressive measures are usually taken, but for entirely different beliefs...

Catchy title, but like I said, it just doesn't jive with the political structure and position on the international stage that the US posesses. We may be pushy, but our brand of pushy doesn't come CLOSE to what "pushy" meant under Hitler, Mussolini or Franco...

Franco was probably the most "pushy" of the bunch.

I'm not your enemy here, but I wouldn't go that far. Just because he puts it in a documentary, doesn't make it a fact.

I am not a Republican, and I also did not see MMs movie. For some reason, I'm offended by that comment.

first off, don't complain about the responses you get when you post on a public forum on the internet.

secondly, nobody has to give you a single damm reason as to why they don't want to go see it. nobody on this forum answers to you.

finally, the title doesn't strike ANY predetermined bias in me. but as someone who doesn't get their knowledge base from mainstream media and certainly not hollywood, i'll leave being spoonfed to you.

Wow, don't hold back now. I don't think he was trying to offend anyone, just looking for honest opinions as to why they didn't like it. What he wasn't looking for were people who determined whether or not they liked it without even seeing the trailer. Needs less 'roid-rage.

whatever. he's complaining about the opinions he asked for.

needs less sympathetic hand holding.

How did this get to be a left Vs right debate anyway? Both parties had a part in enacting the 'temporary', 'emergency' legislation that gave us the income tax.

I'd much rather address the viability of returning to the previous tax system, or something similar. The burden to track & process income data & taxing for every working person in the U.S. has got to be HUGE compared to doing the same with businesses, and placing tarriffs on imports, & exports.

Aaaaaand... DISCUSS!
