I've gone as far as I am willing to go with this car and have decided to part Swazo out. Time is just something I don't have a lot of for these things, and it's time I move on. Local guys will get first dibs on parts and I'll cut you a break on the price to an extent. Keep an eye out for the ad(s) in the classifieds, there's 30+ choice parts. The more you buy, the better the deal I can give you. I'll be trolling around like just about every other SW CEG'er

This was just the last straw for me With the upcoming move, this isn't something that I want to continue doing. I'd been talking to some CEG'ers on the possibility of selling the car once it was tuned, so parting it out should get me a little more than I was asking for 'er. The market for these cars are dying, and if I want to be able to get a decent return (not like I'd make ALL my money back...), this is the time I should jump on it.

Dont give up yet!
Seriously, dont. Youve come too far and are too close to just throw in the towel like that.
In any case, Ill be keeping my eyes out for parts just in case. I dont want to, but I will!

You are way too close to have something like this make you part it! Give it a break and then come back to it and finish it. After a while of driving the Escort you will miss Swazo.
But, if you do decide to part it, Ill keep an eye on some goodness.

I agree... don't give up yet. That would be alot of wasted time if it's almost done, right? On another note... if you decide to part it out, wait until you move here

I agree with Jon. Sit back, take a break. Youve been going at it a long time and I can understand how youve about had it for now. Take a deep breath, and you may change your mind. I think youre in it too deep now to just give up!

To let you know how I somewhat understand how you are feeling. After the Contour sat in the driveway, dead, for about six months, I finally looked into what could actually be wrong. Instead of the trans, it looks like all that is gone is the driver's CV shaft. Now with me poking around, I realise how much I actually miss the car. It was the most enjoyable vehicle I have ever owned (handling) which is why I am so excited to get the Cougar on the road. I cant even imagine completely how you would feel with the insane amount of time (and probably blood and new cuss words) that you have put into yours.
Take it out back and cover it up. Let your anger subside and get back to the project after you have had a chance to cool off a little. You dont need to do what I did and end up replacing an enjoyable car because of something stupid, like a CV shaft that can be replaced for free under warranty.
Dont part her out, you will kick yourself for it.
