It's amazing how many people have been stationd at (or rotated through) ole Ft. Hungry Lizard...we have been BRAC'd twice and only lost barrack space (490,000 sq. ft.) so far....
No, the Army isn't involved with the dunes clean-up, but I was one of the consultants brought in to make recommendations on restoration techniques. I was also involved in the Ft. Ord clean-up and restoration effort. As long as someones out there rippin' and shreddin'...I'll have a job!
