So... I'm in Sacrapmento.. driving with my son, wife, and mother-in-law back to the m-i-l's house, when the Sh!t happens.
I was just cruising along Freeport Blvd.. in the slow lane (cuz i had my year-old son and moth-in-law in the car), when a Dodge Viper and Ford Mustang both come tearing up on my tail doing their Fast and Furious impressions. To make a short story long, the Viper driver decided to change lanes (as I was only going the speed limit) from the slow lane, to the fast lane... Unfortunatly, he sucked as a driver, and clipped the divider... This clipping, caused him to spin his car, and tag me in the rear, driver-side door, and smacking my a$$ end out about 45 degrees. I corrected the change in direction, then was immediately slammed into again (he was still trying to correct his spin) in the driver's door. At this point, our cars sort of locked-together, and I was in charge of steering us so that we didn't go into the head on traffic on the other side of the divider. Luckily, I was able to stop us in time, and no one was hurt (though back injuries can take a week or so to manifest... or so I'm told)... and the guy admits fault (he damned-well better). Let me know if you want pics posted. I must say that our contours can take a hit and keep their drivers from harm. Cheers to Ford on this.
Cheers, Tom

Thanks for the offer of the attorney, but I think that everything is going to go well with the insurance companies. I'm taking my car in today for repairs. I'll post the pics as soon as I dig the digital camera out of all the crap that you have to lug back and forth when you have a baby/toddler. Cheers, Tom

-jason Yea, power + rear wheel drive + dumbass = bad situation. The viper's rear tires are like 315's but you can still break them loose extremely easily. Glad to hear your alright Tom, personally I'd probably sue the sh!t out of him, i'm tired of seeing very stupid sh!t on the freeway. Good job on not spinning yourself, things could be a lot worse. Personally, I don't care about suing him... Judging by the look on his face, the sound of his voice, and the sound of his wife's voice, I don't think he'll be driving the Viper any time soon.
All I care about it getting the $5500 (original estimate.. probably more in the end) worth of damage fixed.. and not having my insurance affected.
Now... how to post pictures..... Doing s a search, then I'll post what happened to my car.. and how LITTLE happened to his car.
Cheers, Tom
