mine has the same condition. it is like the windsheild has been sand blasted. if i am driving it into the sun either early in the morning or at dusk it looks like the windsheild is dusty. it isnt dust. it is pitting.
it would great to hear how yours turns out. a new windsheild is the other alternative.
