PErfect candidate for shooting with a rapid fire paintball gun at close qwuarters. I would shoot the bastard till he couldn't walk - that way whe he has to walk home covered in paint, people will know he was up to no good.

I was just thinking the same thing. Try to videotape or at least photograph him touching the car. You can prove he has no business doing that, since it's your car.
It might also help to document dates, times etc. of when the car is messed with at your apartment. And what you noticed when you headed out to the car.

If I were in your shoes, once the car's alarm is armed, I'd circle around the apartment and enter the field unseen. Camp out where you can see where he is coming from and where you're able to intercept him. If there isn't decent coverage in the field, throw on the ol' ghillie suit to really scare the s$*( out of him when you drag him away for a nice talk. Ah, the fun this would be
