Man, I do love the DeLoreans! It's such a beautiful car!! :sigh: Such a shame it has that crappy V-6 in it! As much as I like 'em, I'll be hunting for a Bricklin SV1 before a DeLorean. Ford V-8, gullwings, and they can be had for a song. Generally between 4-6 grand for a decent one.

I don't know about beautiful, but it sure is unique. And there is such an interesting story behind it as well.

Definitely needs the Mr. Fusion factory upgrade installed though.

Funny. In reading this thread I noticed that it seems there are 2 groups here. The people like me, mid 30's with kids (or w/out) who remember the Back to the Future movies. And the teenyboppers who have never seen them. Funny.

almost right, I am not in my 30's and I have seen the movies, I remember seeing part 2 and three in the theaters, and I own the DVD box set

as everyone else has said the movies had a large influenze on people liking these cars, I even have an old photo somewhere where I got to sit in one of the movie cars at a car show many years ago and as I remember that is the only thing at the show I wanted to see/cared about

There are a whole lot of 80s movies I've never seen (my friends are slowly culturing me ) but BTTF is such a famous trilogy that I would be amazed if any 'teenybopper' hasn't seen at least one, on television or otherwise.

Our contours have a 'high beam' indicator on the dash, and they ding if the low beams are on and the doors are open...I wouldn't call it 'gehy,' I'd say it's a pre-ding measure.
I was about to say "I'll be back" was from Terminator, not Running Man, until I found this:
Ben Richards: Killian! I'll be back!
Damon Killian: Only in a rerun.
