The raised wing of the T/A gets me every time.
Ditto!

Agreed! The 'Hawks are rolling hard-ons!
The T/A-Firebird is definitely better looking than the Camaro, IMO, but I like the Camaro's interior better. Hmmm...interior swap anyone?

My next door neighbor's wife bought a 2000 Trans Am Ram-Air WS6 new. It is totally stock, down to the fluids, and I must say that its acceleration is impressive, handling however, not so much. The car looks great (arrest me red, t-tops), but the interior is another story. Hers is totally loaded, leather, 10 disc CD, etc., and the interior is still cheap plastic and poorly fitted. The car also has a huge blind spot for a car that size.
That being said, I'd still drive one if the insurance wasn't insane.

i don't know about all that.
stock for stock, an ls1 is faster. raping faster? not really.
Oh yes, raping faster is guaranteed.
+1
Compare the typical LS1 F-body's 1/4 mile times of lets just say 13.7 to be safe, even though they often will go faster than that STOCK, with lets say your typical Mustang GT. Do it.
stock 99+ gt's are frequently running 13.9's with a good driver. so... as i said... LS1 is faster, but no raping is going on.
Good driver my behind! Here in Texas where the air is HOT at the track, an EXPERT driver will be lucky to push his Bullit to a fairly modest 14.4. It would take an '01 Cobra to do those kinda numbers. Mustang GT ain't got nuthin on an LS1 anyway. And by saying "13.7 to be safe" I was being very lenient to make you Mustang GT boys feel a little better about the car. Speaking of Firebirds, the '88 needs no more than tires and a paint job and it'll be ready to chock up the kills...
There will be a series...
