Has anyone actually sat in the back of any of the vehicles mentioned? Just because a vehicle is 4 doors does not mean 4 6-foot people would be comfortable.

Mini Cooper S actually has good room in the back seat, but PITA to get there and no truck w/ 4 people.

Grimes: What are you comparing a "usable back seat" to? Usable as compared to a Honda Prelude? Is the Contour's seat "usable" in your terms? You're throwing out a whole lot of vehicles but it depends on on whether you need a backseat for a car seat or to sit three 6' adults (in which case something huge like an A8 or a Caddie would only do the trick).

Actually, a rear facing child seat also requires a lot of room, more than most adults need. it can be placed in the middle which then allows more room between the front bucket seats, but an adult usually rides back there one oneside or the other. Then you need some width to the rear seat.

But your point should be noted, what is the back seat needed fore.

Not exactly exciting vehicles. Maarauder, maybe.

Personally, I have 2 4-dr pickups and a minivan. No sedans or even remotely fun vehicles. Some day I'll get one again.

I forgot one - 2007 Camry SE. Ther emay be 1 million on the road in 2 years, but 268hp V6 + 6-speed auto is not a bad place to start. Some upgraded suspension and wheels could make it fun.
