I'm not saying you didn't have a problem with foam filters. But you cannot conclude that all foam filters are bad because you had a bad experience with one brand. I was just looking for some more solid reasoning/proof that foam filters are inferior to gauze surface filters. After viewing the filter comparison tests and taking into account that the filter has a life time warranty, by deductive reasoning you can conclude that you have not only purchased a filter that will do its job but you have purchased a filter that will last the life time of the car (or they will replace it free of charge).
