This filter is considerably larger (10.5" long by 5.5" wide) than the filter that came with my Injen intake so i'm sure that helped with the added pull when running through the gears. This is on my '05 Mazda 6s by the way.
That seems to fit awfully low to the ground, wouldn't water, and road gunk get sucked in and/or deteriorate that filter?
