it's at shamrock ford with the wheels on the floor, no battery, the intake up to the throttle body off, and something that looks like its stretching the frame at the top of the engine. i'm gettin something in the tranny replaced, i have to go figure out what the **** they are doing. if its the synchor or what. morons. they called and said the parts came in, can you bring the car in, my mom told them they had the car. f-idiots. and when they went to diagnose my heater they damaged something else. oh my poor car.
i wonder how hard they drove it, and how many miles they put on it.
and btw, the B&M is one of the coolest things i have done. when i put it back on before i put it in i felt like i was driving a friggin truck. It's so neat having the short throw.
just my 2 of the day-

Short throw shifter, roughly 20% shorter throws.
Roughly $150, can be most easily found by looking for Focus parts, as it is a universal fit.
Only drawback I have heard is that you can no longer rest hand on knob while you play with stereo because it is shorter.

sounds like my tranny is fixed. they ordered a new shifter linkage and will put that in tomorrow (hopefully). guess i get her back by friday (yay!) it was cool, they didn't give me any **** for any of my mods. good guys made an appt on wed to tint the front windows. oh and chris is right on the b&m, my only problem with it is the fact i have a harder time changin the radio, but y'know it's really not all that bad -til tomorrow

Hope everything is fixed for ya. I wish the B&M worked on the early model Tours. Lousy cable linkage.

ahh... sounds interesting.. I'd love to feel what the shorter Shifting distance feels like sometime, before I make a decision... Maybe someone will have this mod to their car at the next meet.
Cheers, Tom

its back. it feels good. i think i'm gonna have to put in the tranny cocktail again. ugh. i hate filling the stupid tranny. it's hard as hell to do.
they repleaced the synchro, the actual 3rd gear, and a whole slew of other things. heater recall was done, and they replaced the shifter linkage. feels a little firmer but that just may be imagination for not driving stick in a week.
talk to y'all later,
