Don't break the headlights....big NO NO! Its already been seen by the insurance company. If you break them you'll get in Deep @$%@.

Doesn't seem that bad to me. Now you guys know why the front LCA's are so flimsy. They are meant to bend/buckle in instances like this. A new finder, door, etc and some new suspension components & I bet it will be fine. Just depends on how the subframe looks. You can get under and see if the alignment holes are still aligned with the SF.

The adjustor called me yesterday and said she was going out to see the car today or friday at the latest. They're dragging their fuggin feet. The impact must have caused the passenger headlight tabs to break because you can just about pull the headlight right out. The two wheels on the other side of the car are damaged as well from hitting the median after the impact. Thanks for all the supportive comments and I'll keep you all posted about what happens.

UPDATE: The adjustor called me yesterday with a quote. I went up to ford to discuss it with the body shop advisor. They currently have a quote of 3000.00 which seemed pretty low to me so I questioned the adjustor. Aparently, they will not use new OEM parts but what are called LKQ parts from a salvage yard. Lets just say I about put my fist through the fuggin wall because to me this is completely unacceptable. If they were to use new parts, the car would for sure be totaled but I guess they're not required to use new parts. When I went to see the car yesterday, I noticed the connector rod was bent extremely bad so who knows what other damage is beyond that. I guess they'll start to pull the car apart and then make their final determination but it looks like they're going to fix it and I'll be stuck with a car that's not worth shat. From one stand point, I'll be happy to have my tour back but from another standpoint I'm extremely upset that a car that I've worked hard to take very good care of is going to lose most of it's value. I'll post again when I have further details.

Im pretty sure you have the right to have it fixed with new OEM parts!
If they refuse tell them to buy the thing out from under you then!
Id be furious if I found out a shop didnt use new OEM, or at LEAST Reman. OEM parts, not parts out of other wrecked cars.

I thought the same thing but I looked into it as did my attorney and apparently they can use used parts from a junkyard. They're referred to as LKQ parts which are supposedly in perfect condition and are oem parts but cost alot less.

That sucks, sorry to hear. It doesn't look like it was too hard of a wreck, but bad all the same. Espeically with that jagged ripped piece of metal by the fender.

There is no reason you should be unhappy with this situation! The insurance company is supposed to work for you.
Did your lawyer look through everything in detail? If they are intent on using salvage yard parts, you should be able to let them buy it from you. I certainly wouldnt want the car back like that.
