FYI.
...I have had TWO SVT Contours thru the shop in the
past,both had 97 1/2 'build' dates but were '98
models.Both of them needed all new engine bay
harnesses due to cracking,internal open circuits and
shorts..Neither the owners or I were able to get
anything from Ford re warranty,parts,costs etc covered
by Ford.Also FWIW I have seen '98 build date' Contours
with the same harness issues!...Thank you Yazaki!!!!
