Scott, ask my wife if it was a team effort and she'll definitely say yes. We went our own route with the whole pregnancy and birth choosing what we felt was the best for us. Basically we read everything we could, really worked on good nutrition, took a class on Hypnobirthing, and worked together as a team even during the labor and delivery.
Pete, natural means the only drugs she had were some herbal remedies and a whopping 400 milligrams of ibuprofen. No narcotics, Scientology, epidurals or anything else. We started off labor at 4 in the morning, hit the really heavy phase about 3pm, she was born at 5, and we were home at 8:30 resting comfortably at home.
Thanks for all the well wishes everyone!

Grats man! What, do you actually think you'll be able to sleep after she turns 18? That's when all the REAL worrying begins!

Rick,
I was just bustin' on you - I know it was a team effort with my 2 kids. The first was induced over the course of almost 3 days, the second was a scheduled C-section after my boy went breach the day he was scheduled to be induced and couldn't be moved. Each was a very different experience but my wife has told me she couldn't have done either without me at her side.
My oldest is just over 8 now and the days from her birth until today are a blur but a happy blur. They grow up so darned fast! Treasure every day with your beautiful family.
Scott

No kidding Judge!
It's all good Scott. I just had some guys on another board that were actually serious about thinking it was a crock to talk that pregnancy and childbirth wasn't a team effort.
