oh and check out www.upromise.orgI think it's a min. $500 to start a 529 plan, and then you just let your usual spending do the work. (529 plan is not necessary to open a upromise acct - that part is free) I started one for my second cousin, but I'm waiting for her mother to start up the 529 plan, so I can throw the $$ toward it and let that money grow.

Congratualtions on your beautiful daughter. Enjoy each and every one of those 6569 days with her because they grow up so fast. I know, for it will only be 4 more days until my first and only son turns 18. Do your best to make it to all of her school plays, dance recitals, soccer games and be a part of all she does in life.
