you have no idea how many times i heard that when it looked like this...



I can only imagine what im gonna get now after I got all the plumbing back from the ceramic coating place.

cool. I wish the hotside routing was as easy on an SN95 5.0L . . . because then mine would have been done a loooong time ago.

I may be stupid for asking this question, but how does your turbo work? it looks like its coming off the exhaust headers, this is confusing me.

thats how a turbo works.
the exhaust gasses pass thru a turbine which spins a turbine on the intake side of the turbo, sucking in air and forcing it into the intake.

ummmmmm ALL turbos run off the exhaust header... A turbo is powered by your exhaust... No it doesnt blow your exhaust into the engine, just uses the emissions to spin the turbo, thus creating boost... From there the intake hosing goes into your air intake and from there is just business as usual... Fairly often people have intercoolers which are before the Intake manifold, The Air is compressed by your Turbo/Supercharger heating the Air up like a Bicycle Pump. The intercooler cools this air down again. Cool Air is denser making more Power. Also Cool Air causes less stress on your Engine.

Now if we are talking superchargers... they are basically the same thing as a turbo, except instead of running off the exhast header, then run off of the pulley system already existing in your car... Im sure you have seen pictures of Hector's old S/C zetec engine, he had the Jackson racing supercharger, and if you look to the passenger side of his ride' in the engine bay, you will see a little pulley driven by the serpentine belt. This spins a turbine inside of the supercharger housing which in essence works the same way as a turbo, creates boost and forces into the intake. Although, I believe on some kits, superchargers replace the intake manifold, the jackson racing kit does just that.

Nevermind, it looked like the turbo wasn't connected to your intake but to something else, I didn't notice the how your intake pipe is sticking out.
