OK try this. Go into all programs>nero>tools>nero drive info. When that's done click on the tab up top that says ASPI. Then look down the bottom to see if it says "ASPI is installed and working properly". This can become corrupt and need to be reinstalled.
ForceASPI Since you recently did a Windows reinstall you may want to run this. It won't hurt anything. You also will want to remove one of the burning programs because they don't always play nice with each other.
One other thing you might want to check is if the cooling fan in you external enclosure is working. It could be heat related.
P.S. Those silver coasters are worthless, they have a hole in the middle.
