I rest my case...any speed over highway speed...100kph or 70 MPH sould not be allowed by this rule NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE OR WHO YOU KNOW

The rule states '...highly illegal speed...'. From what I understand about the Autobahn, at certain times there is NO SPEED LIMIT. No speed limit means just that. In other words, part of this rule is irrelevant since the video was taken on the Autobahn, with NO SPEED LIMIT. Now, the safety issue of holding a video camera is another discussion altogether.
IMHO, a topic such as this, should have been brought up to a MOD or ADMIN via PM, rather than publicly airing 'grieveances'. The rules are simple and sometimes with a gray area, such as we have seen, is just that, a gray area. The Mod in question made the decision he/she felt was appropriate.
Believe me when I tell you, there is no favortism here. We (Mods/Admins) discuss our decisions and day-to-day on a daily basis. Topics such as this get hashed out *before* action is taken.

That's the most retarded thing I've ever heard. Deer and animals don't drive Contours.

but that speed thing goes for track use as well and trust me. Tracks can handle 120 mph.

I am confused. Your original post stated closed road and now you state track use (implying official sanctioned racing track). Yes, most sanctioned racing tracks are probably designed for more than 120 MPH. But was it "closed road" or official sanctioned track?

I see where your confused. Shaggy pointed out that it was ok to do 120 on the autobhan because it was legaal and that was why that one post was not locked. I was stating that rule 14 applys to track use as well and 120 on a track is safe but still not allowed to be posted on this site.

The big thing is this, which is obviously getting missed. The CEG does not want to be responsible if someone loses control/kills themself/whatever videotaping themselves doing something illegal. Hell, if someone does the same on a legal road, CEG does not want to be responsible for that as well. From what I understand about the gray area, if one person takes the video, and the other is driving fast *legally*, the video would be ok.
Topics such as this will have to be brought up to the rest of the mods and again SHOULD HAVE been sent to the Mods/Admins FIRST. No need to get people up in arms over trivial things, such as a rule interpretation. Eventually, legal or not, no one will be able to post any vids. That would be a sad day, IMHO.
