Okay.
I have a 1996 Ford Coutour, automatic with a 4 cylinder engine.
The thing is, if I'm idling or going past 5mph, my car runs great. But if I'm idling and give it a TINY bit of gas, my car will hesitate an stall. It's like it's not getting enough power...
I've had it in with two mechanics and they couldn't find anything. I keep getting the "It's an old car, older cars do that kind of thing..." but that answering isn't satisfying enough.
The other day when I started it up, I hadn't even taken it out of park or disable the emergency break, and all the sudden the engine got really loud and then died.
My car seems to run great, but like I said, if I'm idle or at a stop light, and I give it a tiny bit of gas, the engine sounds like it skips and bit, hesitates and then dies.
I did a search on the forums and look in common problems, but I didn't seem to find anyone else with this type of problem, but then again I could have missed a post or two.
So please, any suggestions/ideas as to what might be causing this?
