Well, I'm going to sell the Escape in the near future. My parents are getting a new car and I will be able to mise my stepfather's 2000 Subie Outback. With the 5-speed it gets 22/28.

I've mulled over the idea of a mini or something else, but it hasn't gotten that bad....yet.

I have feet, then I have a dog, then I have a bike, then I will resort to my $3.46/gal CSVT.

I'm afraid to ask, but how is a dog going to help you save gas?

Paid $2.97/G for premium yesterday.

So I'm paying $1/G extra from where I was 2+yrs ago. Average fill up costs me $13 more.

Each tank = 300miles

Yearly Driving Average = 12,000 miles

12,0000/300 = 40 fill-ups equals an exta $43/month or $520/yr.

I'm not going to change my lifestyle for $500/yr

Who are you? What have you done to Kokopellian?

No change in my driving habits. bigmoneyracing posted an excel spreadsheet during the "last gas crisis" that showed it wasn't worth it to sell the old gas guzzler and buy a econocar to try and save money on gas. It took a long time to recoup the costs.

Edit. bigmoneyracing's post on gas saving.
