Since the days of cheap gas are completely over and the cost of fuel is just going to increase more and more.... go gas go. I was wonder what are you doing to help out your own situation?
Mostly I'm going to do common sense type stuff. Ride my motorcycle more for short quick trips, combine trips, etc. Gas is just ridiculous now. I'm even thinking I might forego performance and purchase a gas miser at some point when I get a new car. Man, I'm so glad I don't own a gas guzzling SUV. That market has officially tanked.

The exploder has finally topped $50 a tank. The contour still isn't that bad...$20 will get me through my weekend trips to the city, and i've eliminated driving people around unless they contribute to the gas fund. Regular here is $2.89...i dunno what premuim is as i haven't used the car in a week or so, but it's gotta be over $3.

Nothing. I've talked and talked about getting a motorcycle, but it has nothing to do with gas prices and it would be just a toy. I'll still drive my V8 truck and my wife will still drive her Pilot. I don't mind paying the extra if it means I get to drive what I want and how I want. And I love hearing people say that SUV's give people a false sense of security. My wife was rear ended on the freeway last year. She was in stopped traffic and a 2001 Civic plowed into her because she was picking up her cell phone off the floor and didn't realize that traffic was stopped. Because of the height of the Pilot compared to the Civic, it simply jammed underneath the Pilot. Damages to the Pilot were under $500, just touch up stuff and a bent exhaust tip. The Civic was done. /rant off I've eyed the Toyota Yaris, but only because it looks like it would be a cool little car. I'd still keep the truck.

i'd love a bike, but it isn't worth the risk. Even the smallest fender bender could cripple you. I know a guy, he pulled away from a car that was just about to merge into him and lost it. Flew off the bike doing 35mph. Seperated shoulder, road rash like you wouldn't believe, concussion and who even knows about his back. Nuts to that.

Well, it definitely does not involve getting a large gas powered truck! We put 110 liters in our 2002 F350 6pax the other day... off base the "cheap stuff" costs 1.15ΓΆβ??Β¬/liter... so that fill up would have cost 126.50ΓΆβ??Β¬, or $153.75 That tank might last a couple weeks!

I have stoped racing certain types of cars, and started granny shifting. and I try to compact a few trips al at once and map out which way would be the best/least mileage. I do get on it still, I mean whats the point of having a sports sedan if you don't use it?
